What is it?

Missouri School Library Snapshot Day provides a way for school libraries in Missouri to show what happens on any given day in their libraries. It is brief picture of a day in the life of Missouri School Libraries. To participate, pick a single day during the weeks of October 31s - November 11th to gather and submit information about your library.

The purpose of Library Snapshot Day is to allow the statewide library community to gather similar data that the Missouri Association of School Librarians (MASL) can use to promote school libraries.

How does Library Snapshot Day work?

Pick a single day during the week of October 31st - November 11th.

Promote the day to your students and staff.

Collect data, stories, and photographs of your library in action.

Upload information to the Missouri School Library Snapshot Day Web form by Friday, November 11th.

Then What?

You can use information in your own activities and promotions to your teachers, administrators, and community.

See what other libraries in Missouri are doing.

Get a sense of statewide library usage.

All the information will be accessible to participating libraries.
