If you are a part of a MASL Group or Committee you have access to a Group or Committee Page on the site.  There are many helpful features to be aware of on these pages.

How Do I Get to My Group/Committee Page?

First, log into the site.  Then, click the dark blue tab on the right-hand side of the page that reads "Groups."  This will take you to a page that lists the different categories of groups and committees.  Click the category that yours falls under.  This will take you to another page which lists the different groups and committees within that category.  Click on the title of your group or committee.  Please note that you will only have access to pages for those groups/committees you are a part of.

 

 


 

What Can I Do On This Page?

You can use your group/committee page to download documents; create, participate and view discussion; view group/committee activity; search for other members; and view upcoming events.

 


 

How Do I Access and Add Group/Committee Documents?

Documents are usually made available via the "Group Pages" tab.  Clicking on this tab will produce a drop-down menu of available documents you can access by clicking on them.

Only group/committee page administrators are able to add documents to these pages, so if you have a document that you would like to see added you should contact the chair of your group or committee.

 

 

 


 

 

How Do I View and Participate in Discussion?

Discussion on the group/committee page will happen on the "Wall," which is similar to a Facebook Wall.  To access the Wall click on the tab that reads "Wall" at the top of the group page. (It is located next to "Home.")  If you would like to add a comment to the wall, simply type your comment into the field which reads "Write on the wall..." and click the "Post" button when you are finished.

Additional group/committee discussion may occur in your group or committee's forum.  To access this forum, click on the "Directory and Features" tab at the top of the page and select "Forums" from the drop-down menu that appears.

 

 

 


 

 

How Do I View Activity?

You can see what activity has happened in the group or committee by looking at the "Wall."

 


 

How Can I Search for Other Members of My Group/Committee?

Click on the "Directory and Features" tab at the top of the page and select "Group Directory."  This will bring up a list of all members who are a part of this group. 

 

 


 

How Can I Contact Other Members of My Group/Committee?

Click on the "Directory and Features" tab at the top of the page and select "Group Directory."  This will bring up a list of all members who are a part of this group.  From here you can click the "Message Member" text next to a member's name to send them a message through the website.  Clicking on the member's name will bring up their profile, which contains additional contact information.

Only page administrators are able to send messages out to the entire group or committee, so if you would like a message to go out to all the members in a group or committee contact your group or committee chair.

 

 

 


 

 

Where Can I Find Upcoming Group/Committee Events?

The homepage of your group or committee page will have a small list of upcoming events towards the bottom.  To access the master list, you can click on the "Directory and Features" tab at the top of the page and select "Calendar."
