About the Show Me Readers Award
Age Level
The Winner of the annual Show Me Readers Award is selected by students in grades one through three.
Vision
The purpose of the Show Me Readers Award is to promote literature, literacy, and reading in Missouri elementary schools for grades one through three and to promote recognition of authors and illustrators of books that are favorites of Missouri children in these grades.
Who May Recommend
Students, teachers, librarians, and parents can recommend books for the Show Me Readers Awards.

Interested in becoming a Reader Selector? The deadline for submitting the application was July 1, 2010.
Who May Vote
Children in grades one through three are eligible to vote for their favorite book if they have read or have had read to them a minimum of six books on the current master list.
Voting
In March, students in grades one through three will vote for the book they liked best. Schools will design their own ballots and each student will get one vote. Votes are tallied by each school and placed on a Voting Tally Sheet. The results from the tally sheet should be entered into the online voting system.
Online Voting for Awards will begin on March 1, 2011. Voting Tally Sheets will be available online by February 15, 2011.
All votes must be entered by midnight on March 10, 2011. Mailed or faxed entries will NOT be accepted.
